It is my belief that the
Teass' of New London supplied equipment to the arsenal located in New
London, Virginia and took over this home, the former courthouse, in
approximately 1780. It was from this home that Steven Teass (Teays) left for the
Ohio River frontier, now known as Teays Valley, West Virginia. |

Teasses
House built in the latter part of the 19th century on Teasses Hill,
Fife, Scotland. At one
time, the house was home to a Scottish Member of Parliament.
It is my belief that the house is still standing.
The hill and barony were at one time (from approximately 1250
to approximately 1850) part of the Leslie Clan property holdings. |
